My rose - survived the winter!

My rose in the picture has survived the winter! We have quite a few roses, and this year it looks like they all made it!

Thing 23

Finished! Whew!

Congratulations to the Team for this successful program. It was fun!

Wordle and LibraryThing

I like Wordle - quick, fun, colourful - instant gratification! LibraryThing looks neat - I'll have to spend some time with it in the future to see all it can do.

Community Walk - I'd Rather Walk

I'm familiar with Google Maps and have had some past basic experience with GIS. Community Walk is new to me - and while it was okay and even maybe fun (I had some technical problems that frustrated me), I'd rather be out there walking for real.

Widgets are wonderful!

I like widgets and gadgets! If I had more time, I'd probably load up on them. There certainly are a lot of them - something for everyone and every taste!

Social Bookmarking and Diigo

Diigo - interesting.... I browsed around to see what was there, but it wasn't enough to convince me to sign up for an account. Tags are one way to organize favourites, and I suppose this would be good. I'm not a big user (or hoarder) of favourites...

I might browse through the other social bookmarking sites to compare the differences. There are choices out there and one might interest me more than others!

Social Networking

I don't use Facebook or twitter (although I have browsed walls and tweets) - just not my thing, personally. But I do see the interest in it for organizations and companies. Is it just a trend or a fad? What will come next? Is there a fear or pressure that if you aren't personally connected then you will get left behind? I'm not signing up for accounts now, but in the future, who knows?
